CV/Bio
After 32 years in the corporate business world I am free to indulge my passions to creating. I have participated most of my life in the love and the creation of fine art. Fundamentally, I am a realist. First in intaglio etchings, then painting, now metal smith processes. Metal is now my canvas. The art jewelry is hand cut from sheets of silver. All pieces are originally designed by me. I work in silver , gold, semi- precious, precious stones and natural stones. I have four years art training at the Atlanta College of Art, University of Georgia. I hold a BS degree in business from LaSalle University. My designs formulate from the shape of the stones or gems exploring the depth, light, texture, and functionality Creating the vision, and then improving on the functional vision for the final result of wearable art. Esthetic considerations with a practical approach. Jewelry must be functional. I work solo in my studio. My art jewelry is currently exhibited at various galleries in Pennsylvania. In Sept. 2008 I participated in a solo show at Winterthur. My art jewelry has been shown at the Delaware Center of Contemporary Art, Delaware Art Museum, and Baum School of Art.
Organizations - Past V.P. and Secretary for Pennsylvania Society of Goldsmiths, member of Pa. Guild of Craftsmen.
It is incredibly rewarding when an individual enjoys wearing one of my designs.
